Jokowi Volunteer Arranges Widow Livelihood Program, Fadli: 2014 Empty Promise

Fakta Id. Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman Fadli Zon commented on the proposed volunteer program Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin, Kopi Politik Syndicate (KPS), so that the state would pay farmers and provide for widows. According to Fadli, the proposed program will only become mere nonsense.

"Ideas like this are usually empty, many promises like in 2014 are empty promises. Want to buy Indosat, you won't want to raise fuel prices, it's not proven," said Fadli in the Parliament building, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday.

Meanwhile, Fadli said the Ketum, Prabowo Subianto who was Jokowi's challenger in 2019, clearly paid attention to the agricultural sector. The reason is, in the era of Jokowi's administration according to Fadli, there was almost no welfare for the farmers.

"If Pak Prabowo is clear, he will prioritize the agricultural sector as a priority. Because this is a matter of food sovereignty. Now it is not. Even agricultural data is wrong. Between production and consumption is wrong," he said.

"Even the Jokowi government policy is very stabbing in the agricultural sector, especially importing rice at the time of harvest. It drops the price of farmers. The farmers 'exchange rate in Pak Jokowi's era is down and there is no farmers' welfare.

Kopi Politik Syndicate (KPS) wants the government to pay salaries to farmers and provide for widows. The question of living for widows is said to be important because their duty is to educate children who are the future of the nation.

"Especially widows who cannot afford it, this is a form of appreciation to mothers and regulated in Islam, to pay attention to widows, orphans and the poor," said KPS Executive Director Indra Budiman.
