BPN: Many Regional Heads Support Prabowo but Fear of Law Apparatus

Kolom Media. A spokesman for the Prabowo-Sandiaga National Winning Body (BPN), Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, revealed that many regional heads actually wanted to support Prabowo-Sandi during the campaign period. But the regional heads were forced to silence for fear of law enforcement officials.

"There were also those who were silenced for fear. Many regional heads could not do anything because they were afraid of the legal apparatus. Finally they did not dare to speak out," said Dahnil during a meeting with social media volunteers in Meruya, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Thursday.

Dahnil continued, besides the regional head, the people he met were also afraid of expressing his support clearly to Prabowo-Sandi. Finally the support given to Prabowo-Sandi was done secretly.

"Many people meet, they work at this institution, 'Mas, we can't do anything, but rest assured, we are like this (two fingers typical of Prabowo-Sandi).' So we find a lot of votes below, people can't "loud, updated status, because of their position," said Dahnil.

Dahnil revealed, the people's fears even took place when they were visited by a team from the survey institution. When surveyed regarding the presidential and vice presidential candidates, people who were afraid were forced to lie by calling for choosing Jokowi-Ma'ruf.

"Many are also afraid of being visited by surveys, pollster, contents of all kinds. Smart people. I once asked, 'Mom, if there is a pollster ask, what do you answer?'" Dahnil said mimicking the question.

"They answered, 'choose Jokowi.' Because they sometimes fear this from certain institutions, we want our matches. If you choose Prabowo, you will be upset. But don't be afraid, we are like this (two fingers). That heart cannot be surveyed," Dahnil continued .

For this reason, Dahnil asks digital volunteers or social media to stay alert. They must see whether there are fraudulent practices in the 2019 Election.

"Do not let the aura of change be defeated by the practice of cheating. PR friends, make sure the process of supervision, the law apparatus, security, civil servants and all parties who have prudence join the fraud process," said Dahnil.
