Karawang Fishermen Confide in Capital Aid Problems to Sandiaga

One of the fishermen, Anas, said that fishermen in Karangsong had never received assistance, both fishing equipment and capital for the past three years. Therefore, there needs to be empowerment for fishermen whose income is erratic and dependent on the season.

"We have never received assistance for three years. Both fishing equipment such as nets or capital. We hope that if the elected father can improve the fate of fishermen in Pasir Putih," Anas said in a written statement Gerindra on Thursday.

The same thing was expressed by other fishermen, Najibullah. He wants white sand to become a tourist destination. This can be a substitute source of income for fishing communities in Cilamaya. Najib claimed to plant mangroves or mangrove trees on the coast in order to create a beautiful environment while becoming a natural fortress to avoid abrasion.
